Re: Planning on removing the D3D10 and D3D9 Renderers

What I can do is to add an enumerator specifying D3D feature set to be used to the constructor/bootstrap of the D3D11 renderer. This would allow to support D3D9 hardware using the featureset. [...] Whenever there are features that require different handling then if/else section can be used. Seems b...

Re: Discussion on future removal or rework of CEGUI::ColourR

Hello people, long time no see. It feels good to be back and I am extremely happy to see so much good progress has been made and that CEGUI is in good hands! In my opinion, instead of relying on this, users should simply be using different imagery for the widget. (my boldface) Reacting to the bolded...

Re: creating a 3D user interface.

Sometimes it can take a little time before anyone answers questions. Have you had any luck with this? Have you gotten an interface on a texture working yet?

Re: Snapshot4 release

Czuger, just wanted to say that you gave some sterling feedback! One of the most valuable and most rare information one gets as a developer is real-life user stories. Therefore, your usage experiences are invaluable and so is you sharing of them with us! Are you still having issues with getting Git ...

Re: cegui and ogre conflict?

Have you tested if it is really a CEGUI or an OGRE thing? Map the action to a keyboard key and see if the pause is still there. If it isn't it is likely an OGRE issue.

Also, it is easier for us to help you if you attach the top section with version information etc of the GEGUI log file.

It will be a nice and welcome addition to 0.8! Now we only need someone to start working on a replacement for the Tree widget and 0.8 will be truly outstanding!

Re: How to integrate cegui into simple win32 opengl GUI

Late reply. I looked over your code, and it seemed fine to me. Since it ran better on another graphics adapter my guess is that you had a bad or old driver for the other card. Usually when things are slow without explanation it is a driver issue.

Re: How to integrate cegui into simple win32 opengl GUI

CEGUI is a very powerful system. However, you've just identified the very one spot where we are weak: tutorials! The problem with tutorials is that it is very difficult to know exactly what will be needed and wanted until a specific question, like yours, is put forward. Perhaps we can work together ...

Re: Wishlist for user contributions to docs and tutorials

Either that, or have a special and noticeable link to the contribution/wishlist article prominently on the main page. Apparently one needs special access privileges to edit the main page, though, so you will have to do it.

Re: Wishlist for user contributions to docs and tutorials

I have made a stub forum post here . It links to the new stub wiki page here . The forum post has my suggestion for the appeal text, please feel free to edit or change to your heart's desire :) It also needs to be populated with a few selected items for people to help with. The wiki page is likewise...
