Tutorial CEGUI and Qt/QGLViewer

Postby Xadeck » Fri Mar 10, 2006 10:28

Hi folks,

I am working on a tutorial on Qt and CEGUI. It is almost finished (need to explain listeners).
You can find it at:

http://artis.imag.fr/Membres/Xavier.Dec ... ces/CEGUI/

I also added the link on the main page of the wiki.

I just skimmed over it, but it looks great.

Might be a good starting point for other people to create tutorials for other windowing toolkits they're familiar with. Basically leave all the CEGUI parts as they are, and search and replace Qt with wx, GTK, plain GL/GLUT, MFC or whatever. Obviously it would be harder than just search and replace :-). -- But still lots easier than writing a whole new tutorial from scratch.

This is an extremely worthwhile effort. Thanks for taking the time. I'll be sure to print this out and study it.
