menu bar item scaling

Postby Metabug » Mon Jul 21, 2008 21:22

Is there a way to get the menu bar buttons to scale? I made a menu bar on top of the screen, with 4 buttons in it that occupy the entire width of the bar. On changing resolution to a higher setting, I get extra space on the right side, I want them to maintain the same relative scale and occupy the whole bar.

I am in the process of making my own look n feel, modeled after the Taharez look n feel, so I played around with the xml a bit, tried various unified and absolute dim settings, but nothing worked.

Hi,

I'm not certain about this at the moment, it may be related to the NamedArea in the MenuItem looknfeel that specifies the size of the menu item content.

Alternatively it might be a known issue - I have some vague recollection of it being mentioned before, though do not remember if there was a solution or what it was.

I don't think I'll get around to checking it out for a little bit as I have other things to get done at present, though I might get time tomorrow to see if I can offer a solution of some kind :)

In the mean time, if anyone else has the answer, please feel free to post it!

CE.

Sorry for the very late reply, I am looking through all my posts and closing the ones that's no longer relevant/valid.

This issue has to do with me externally modifying the list content. After checking the document, I found a function called handleUpdatedItemData that solved my problem.
