First I must start with saying that I feel the layout editor has improved a lot. I don't know why 0.6.1 didn't work very good on my computer, but with 0.6.2 it seems like the crashes are gone and I am finally able to use it almost exclusively when designing new windows. This has really heightened my impression of CEGUI in total.
Now, to the problem I am experiencing:
I am running Ubuntu 8.10, Gnome with Compiz currently disabled.
When I start the layout editor the two windows show up. However if I do something so that the layout editor loses the focus, then only the "Main Dialog" comes on top if I switch back. To see the other window I have to minimize everything that is placed on top of it.
My opinion, based on how windows usually works, is that the layout window also should come on top of the other windows not belonging to the editor. While not a huge problem, is makes it harder to switch between applications, for example when reading a CEGUI guide in Firefox and then having to minimize Firefox each time I want to see the layout window.
Best Regards
Nimos

Hi,
well, my decision is that is should be fixed
However it doesn't happen on windows. There's a new ticket though:

I'll look for a solution and then ask CE to try it some day.
