other buttons on titlebar

I need to add some buttons on the titlebar of a framewindow, apart from the close button.
If i add them as child window ...even then the titlebar image gets redrawn on top.
can anybody give me ideas as to how to go abt it...such that the titlebar retains its properties..and the buttons are visible.
