MultiColumnList performance issue

For help with anything that CEGUI doesn't offer straight out-of-the-box, e.g.:
- Implementation of new features, such as new Core classes, widgets, WindowRenderers, etc. ...
- Modification of any existing features for specific purposes
- Integration of CEGUI in new engines or frameworks and writing of new plugins (Renderer, Parser, ...) or modules

MultiColumnList performance issue

Hi,

Im having som serious performance issues with the multicolumn list.

When I add about 300 rows my fps drop from 100 to 11.

And I have 7900 GT, amd 3800+ and 1 gb RAM.

Now is this a normal limitation of CEGUI? Im using 0.4 btw.

It seems like cegui renders those elements that are not shown aswell. Any plans to try skip that?

Worth mentioning is that im using render-to-texture on the cegui window, if that can cause any perfomance hits.

It's not RTT or Ogre.

Tried it normally on a old directx application.

Seems like CEGUI is rendering ListboxItems that are not visible, which I think is a waste.


Any ideas on this?
