A question about logging in...

I thought I'd post this publicly to get (hopefully) more feedback.

Does anyone else have an issue where they login to the forums, their user name appears at the bottom of the forums as if they were logged in, but you still have the log-in option at the top and can't post until you login (again)?

See I get that about 75% of the time and it erases the 'new' status on posts, so I can't click that option to see new posts and have to search them out manually

I'm asking this as I'm not sure if it's a issue with the forums or something more local (i.e. PEBCAK ).

Although I haven't logged in enough here for me to know whether it'll happen to me here, I've experienced it in other phpBB forums.

Thanks for the response. I am currently getting the feeling that it's somehow related to a strange difference between this:

http://www.cegui.org.uk/phpBB2/

and this:

http://www.cegui.org.uk/phpBB2/index.php

when accessing the site prior to visiting the login page.

Anyhow, maybe I can come up with a fix

dunno if you fixed it, but i don't have this problem today.

Hi,

I didn't fix this. It's perfectly ok providing I come in using the full URL (the one with index.php); without this I get the issue. Very strange and quite annoying if I'm in a hurry and forget myself.
