Re: New Site: Any problems? Post here!
Hi,
Thanks for the links and comments I'll take a beter look over the weekend probably.
I was playing around with upgrading to newbb2 on a local 'test' copy of the site, though I messed up and broke everything
The server is likely the cause of any slowness, the hosting package was very cheap; I will likely transfer to somewhere else later in the year.

Any way to mark all items as read? I've got lots of old posts coming up as unread, which makes it difficult to tell whats new in any of the forum groups.

I'm going to upgrade the forums module on the site with something that has a few more options (including marking all items as read, I believe). Hopefully I'll get this done fairly soon, though I have to test it all out first. I made a major balls-up of my first attempt at this on a test server

Back arrow after first search link clicked produces a blank
I mentioned it once before. Maybe I am the only one having this problem.

Re: Back arrow after first search link clicked produces a bl
I've not seen this myself (using Firefox 1.0), hopefully it will go away after I upgrade the forum software (still need to do a successful test of that - so much to do, so little time ).

I have, as you probably noticed, upgraded the forum software
I think this addresses most of the issues raised in this thread regarding the forums. As always, feedback is welcomed...

@gcarlton:
To level up you need to make more posts
@Slicky:
I'll change this to a 3 char minimum instead.

I like it too, but I have one nit: I have to keep logging in constantly. Not sure if it's my browser (Safari) or the site's cookie. Seems to happen after about 10 minutes of idleness.

Yeah, there is a auto-login hack for the site, though it's considered a bit of a security hole which is why I did not bother with it I'll check the timeout on the cookie though.
I just use the user/pass auto-complete thing in my browser (Firefox) so I usually just have to press the log-in button without typing anything; which is not too much hassle.
