Editbox PCRE Error

For help with general CEGUI usage:
- Questions about the usage of CEGUI and its features, if not explained in the documentation.
- Problems with the CMAKE configuration or problems occuring during the build process/compilation.
- Errors or unexpected behaviour.

I built the dependencies from the source. I followed this video pretty closely (although I'm using 0.8.4): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaD-MQJLtWk

size: 13,990 bytes
size on disk 16,384 bytes

heres the file just in case

Code: Select all

/*************************************************

/* This is the public header file for the PCRE library, to be #included by
applications that call the PCRE functions.

Sounds fine, our setup should be very very similar and I cannot think of any differences that could cause this.

Could you send me your project? In whatever way you prefer.

The other option is you try out v0-8. https://bitbucket.org/cegui/cegui/get/v0-8.zip
v0-8 is the branch for 0.8.X Releases. There might be a fix in it that I am unaware of regarding PCRE.

I removed all of my personal code so here is a very minimal program which is giving me the error. Using SFML-2-3 and cegui-0.8.4. Do you need more of the project information?

Code: Select all

#include <SFML/System.hpp>
#include <SFML/Graphics.hpp>
#include "CEGUI/CEGUI.h"
#include "CEGUI/RendererModules/OpenGL/GL3Renderer.h"

using namespace std;
using namespace sf;

RenderWindow *window;

int main()
{
   window = new sf::RenderWindow(/*sf::VideoMode(1400, 900)sf::VideoMode::getDesktopMode()*/
   sf::VideoMode( 1920 / 2, 1080 / 2), "Breakneck", sf::Style::Default, sf::ContextSettings( 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 ));
   window->setPosition( Vector2i(800, 0 ));

   CEGUI::OpenGL3Renderer &rendererGUI = CEGUI::OpenGL3Renderer::bootstrapSystem();

   CEGUI::WindowManager &wmgr = CEGUI::WindowManager::getSingleton();

   CEGUI::DefaultResourceProvider* rp =
      static_cast<CEGUI::DefaultResourceProvider*>(CEGUI::System::getSingleton().getResourceProvider());
   rp->setResourceGroupDirectory("schemes", "datafiles/schemes");
   rp->setResourceGroupDirectory("imagesets", "datafiles/imagesets/");
   rp->setResourceGroupDirectory("fonts", "datafiles/fonts/");
   rp->setResourceGroupDirectory("layouts", "datafiles/layouts/");
   rp->setResourceGroupDirectory("looknfeels", "datafiles/looknfeel/");
   rp->setResourceGroupDirectory("lua_scripts", "datafiles/lua_scripts/");

   CEGUI::ImageManager::setImagesetDefaultResourceGroup("imagesets");
   CEGUI::Font::setDefaultResourceGroup("fonts");
   CEGUI::Scheme::setDefaultResourceGroup("schemes");
   CEGUI::WidgetLookManager::setDefaultResourceGroup("looknfeels");
   CEGUI::WindowManager::setDefaultResourceGroup("layouts");
   CEGUI::ScriptModule::setDefaultResourceGroup("lua_scripts");

   CEGUI::SchemeManager::getSingleton().createFromFile( "TaharezLook.scheme" );
   CEGUI::FontManager::getSingleton().createFromFile( "DejaVuSans-10.font" );

   CEGUI::System::getSingleton().getDefaultGUIContext().setDefaultFont( "DejaVuSans-10" );

   CEGUI::System::getSingleton().getDefaultGUIContext().
    getMouseCursor().setDefaultImage( "TaharezLook/MouseArrow" );

   CEGUI::System::getSingleton().getDefaultGUIContext().
    setDefaultTooltipType( "TaharezLook/Tooltip" );

   CEGUI::Window *myRoot = CEGUI::WindowManager::getSingleton().loadLayoutFromFile( "test.layout" );
   CEGUI::System::getSingleton().getDefaultGUIContext().setRootWindow( myRoot );
}

EDIT: what do you suggest I try out with the zip you linked?

It would take me a while to set up SFML since I never did this before. Would you mind sending me the entire project as zip including all the dependencies or is this too much to ask for? Otherwise I will have to postpone it because I got a big presentation on thursday, earliest I could set up SFML on friday.
